Watsonville man arrested on drug and gun charges

A traffic stop lead to the arrest of a 20 year old man in Watsonville. Police say they stopped the car Tuesday near the Crossroads Shopping Center on Main St. for having tinted windows.

They say the driver, 20 year old, Mario Juarez, of Watsonville, was acting nervous and reaching for the floor. Police asked the people inside the car to get out and that’s when they spotted a bag of Meth in plain view near the driver’s seat. They also found a loaded handgun under the driver’s seat.

Juarez was arrested and booked into the Santa Cruz County Jail on multiple charges.
