Man behind bars for loaded gun and DUI in Davenport Landing

Santa Cruz deputies said they responded to a call of a man driving under the influence in the Davenport Landing area on Friday.

The intoxicated driver has been identified as Michael Tracy.

Witnesses said they saw Tracy acting hostile and aggressive.

A deputy was in the area and saw Tracy allegedly driving erratically.

Tracy hit a stop sign on Swanton Road and then almost hit the deputy when he was backing up, according to the deputy.

Deputies said that during the arrest, a loaded gun was found in Tracy’s front pant pocket.

Tracy was booked into County jail for DUI and being a felon in possession of a gun.
