A man was arrested near a CVS in Capitola around 8:30 p.m. Monday for attempting to steal prescription drugs from the pharmacy, police say.

Ben Petrusich, 20, of Soquel walked into the pharmacy and handed the clerk a note demanding the drugs.

When Capitola Police officers arrived on scene, Petrusich tried to run away with the drugs.
