The fire, which was first reported around 2:15 p.m., started at a home that was built on the back of another house. A work shed next to the home was also burned. According to the release, when crews arrived the fire was already fairly large so firefighters had to fight the fire from the outside. It took 20 minutes for initial knock down of the fire.

The home had major damage. The work shed had moderate damage. There was no damage to the main residence.

There were no injuries to anyone in the home, their animals or firefighters. The fire appears to have started from an interior room of the residence.

Damage to the building is estimated to be approximately $100,000 dollars plus an undetermined amount for contents. Damage to the work shed is estimated at $2,500.
