CalAm asked customers in Monterey to preserve water as pumping stations have been affected

California American Water has issued a message to its customers in Monterey to take extra measures to conserve water until further notice due to the power outages throughout the area, which have affected some of the well pumping sites.

Officials are asking for water conservation in order to avoid depletion of stored water.

Customers are asked to use water wisely until further notice. That means limiting water to essential needs, such as cooking, bathing and toilet flushing.
