Four people hurt by downed tree in Salinas’ Chinatown

Four people are hurt after a tree fell down on them in Salinas’ Chinatown during high winds Friday morning, according to public works officials.

Responders said the incident happened behind Dorothy’s Place on Soledad St. and those who were hurt were taken to the hospital.

People working at the homeless shelter said they are concerned about other trees coming down and have moved operations to the health center.
