Tree falls on big rig on Highway 101, traffic backed up

The California Highway patrol says it is clearing out a tree that fell on a big rig Wednesday on Highway 101 near Cannon Road.

At last check, crews are towing away the big rig and remove the tree. CHP says two lanes are open on the northbound side, but only one is open on the southbound side. CHP recommends drivers take an alternate route if possible.

No one was hurt in the accident.
