Salinas community meeting for District 1 will focus on policing, crime, roads and sidewalks

Residents are invited to attend a community meeting for District 1 on Thursday between 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Dr. Oscar F. Loya Elementary School in Salinas.

Council members Scott Davis, Tony Barrera and Gloria De La Rosa will be there, as well as police Chief Adele Frese and public works director Gary Petersen.

According to officials, the focus will be on neighborhood issues like policing, crime, roads and sidewalks.

Chief Adele Frese is set to talk about her goals and plans for the police department.

Officials said all residents including those who live outside District 1, are invited to bring their questions.

Spanish interpretation, childcare and refreshments will be offered, according to officials.
