Hollister sees series of pharmacy robberies
Hollister pharmacies have been robbed at gunpoint three times since August. In each case, police say the suspect got away with large amounts of pain medication and fled on a motorcycle.
The latest robbery happened Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2016 when a man brandished a firearm and demanded drugs from the ANSR Pharmacy at 581 McCray Street.
The same pharmacy was also robbed on November 17, 2016. On August 29, the Rite-Aid Pharmacy at 1701 Airline Highway was robbed.
Police say all three robberies happened in broad daylight. In each case, the suspect hid his face behind a motorcycle helmet or bandana and escaped on a motorcycle.
