POWER OUTAGES: Storm hits Central Coast Thursday afternoon

Storm-related power outages are being reported across the Central Coast Thursday. We will continue updating this story with information on outages throughout the day:

6:18 p.m. PG&E says the outage in Ben Lomond is only affecting one customer.

5:17 p.m.: PG&E says the outage in Santa Cruz has been resolved. But more outages are reported in other areas.

-Ben Lomond, started at 4:45 p.m., 2450 customers out

-Boulder Creek, started at 4:45 p.m., 270 customers out

-Brookdale, started at 4:45 p.m., 335 customers out

-Carmel, started at 3:30 p.m., 105 customers out

-Santa Cruz, started at 4:45 p.m., 15 customers out

-Scotts Valley, started at 4:45 p.m., 370 customers out

PG&E said crews are being dispatched from staging areas across the Central Coast to restore power. They are asking drivers to be safe and report any downed power lines.

2 p.m.: Pacific Gas & Electric reports an outage in Santa Cruz near the 300 block of Fairmount Ave., impacting about 460 customers.

Crews say a tree fell on a power pole, breaking it and knocking out power. They are working to restore power now.
