Shooting in Watsonville sends man to the hospital

Watsonville officers responded to a shooting Sunday morning at about 1:30 a.m. at the Quick Stop on the 2100 block of Freedom Boulevard.

One man was shot and was taken to the hospital by a friend.

Officers contacted the victim at the hospital, but he was uncooperative. The shooting appears to be gang related.

Investigators are still looking for a suspect.
