Watsonville man arrested for vandalizing police department

A Watsonville man is in custody Wednesday, after police say he vandalized the police department. It all started around midnight when 28-year-old Brian Thomas was seen throwing a large rock at the department office building window. Later that day, Thomas was seen throwing rocks at patrol vehicles. Two vehicles were damaged. Thomas tried to get away on bike, but officers eventually caught and arrested him. Thomas then admitted to vandalizing the police department office. The total damage is estimated at over one-thousand dollars.
