UPDATE: Body discovered in parked van
UPDATE 12/7/16 1:35 PM: Salinas police say security officers discovered the body of a man inside a decommissioned FedEx truck in the parking lot of Kmart on North Davis Road in Salinas Wednesday.
The cause of death will not be known until an autopsy is completed, but investigators do not consider it suspicious, saying there are no signs of trauma to the body.
Police say the van had been sold by FedEx to a private party who did not remove company logos. They believe the van had been parked in the lot for one or two days.

A person was found dead inside a car parked in the Kmart parking lot on North Davis Road Wednesday morning, according to Salinas Police. Officers said they don’t know how long the body had been there. The Monterey County Coroner’s Office will investigate the cause of death.
