Watsonville Police retire K9 officer

The Watsonville Police Department held a retirement ceremony for one if its K9 officers Tuesday.

The police department honored Ellex for his years of service to the community.

Ellex had been with the department since 2011 and helped with over 125 apprehensions and the recovery of two loaded firearms during his five year career.

Ellex was retired in November of 2016.
