Coroner releases Arlt toxicology results
The results of a toxicology report issued Monday showed that alcohol, nicotine, an antidepressant and THC, the active ingredient in marijuana, were present in Sean Arlt’s blood at the time of his death.
According to the Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office, Arlt’s blood alcohol level was 0.047 and blood tests were positive for Ethanol, Cotinine, Bupropion and THC.
Arlt, 32, was shot and killed Oct. 15, 2016 by a Santa Cruz police officer after charged at officers while swinging a rake.
The case is being investigated by the Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office.
