Stolen car leads to discovery of chop shop

Police want to talk to a Hollister man, Daniel Hult, 33, about an illegal auto dismantling operation.

Hollister Police say they found the chop shop at 428 College Street on Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2016 while investigating a recovered stolen vehicle in nearby Briggs Alley.

The California Highway Patrol and members of the Santa Cruz Auto-Theft Reduction and Enforcement Task Force (S.C.A.R.E.) helped search the property and found stolen auto parts and three dismantled vehicles.
