Townhouse project sparks debate in Scotts Valley

The Scotts Valley planning commission will hear public comment tonight over a proposed housing development.

A developer plans to build 25 new townhomes and a matching commercial building at Scotts Valley Drive and Dunslee Way but there is opposition from residents who don’t want any new homes built in the city.

Opponents fear further development will change the city’s small town vibe and bring more traffic.
