Stolen car returned to Scotts Valley girl

A Scotts Valley girl with special needs is getting her car back after it was stolen last week. Scotts Valley Police said the car was located in Santa Cruz on Wednesday and returned to Kendra Kannegaard.An outpouring of support on social media followed after officers say it was taken from the 100 block of Bethany Drive.Santa Cruz Police said the car was located in the Beach Hill neighborhood near the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. Officers said one of Kannegaard’s best friends found the car and called police right away.Officers said they don’t have a suspect yet, but are sifting through evidence gathered inside the car.
