Veterans Day events will be offered Friday

The Central Coast will celebrate Veterans Day Friday with parades and special deals for veterans.

The 6 th annual Monterey County Veterans Day parade will take place in Oldtown Salinas, starting at 2 p.m. Friday.

Hollister will host a downtown parade starting at 1:30 p.m..

Throughout the weekend, veterans and active personnel with a valid military ID can enjoy free admission to the Monterey Bay Aquarium.
