Santa Cruz voters approve school bonds

Santa Cruz County voters overwhelmingly passed three bond measures to fund local schools.

All three measures required 55 percent of the vote to pass. All three ended up with more than 70 percent of the vote.

Measure A will fund repairs and modernization of school facilities in the Santa Cruz High School District. It was approved by 27,865 voters (75 percent). There were 9,534 voting against.

Measure B is a $68 million dollar bond to fund construction and repairs in the Santa Cruz Elementary District. Over 78 percent of voters approved the measure. Vote totals: 14,785 Yes. 4,109 No.

Measure C is a $42 million bond funding repair and modernization in the Soquel Elementary School District. 5,581 (71 percent) voted Yes. 2,713 voted No.
