3.6 quake strikes San Benito County

A 3.6 magnitude earthquake was reported about 5 miles southeast of San Benito at 4:55 pm Tuesday. The epicenter of the quake was right along the San Benito River and Old Hernandez Road. With a depth of 4.2 miles, it was felt nearby in Soledad and as far as Santa Cruz

A small aftershock with a magnitude 1.8 was recorded a few minutes after, with an additional small 1.2 magnitude quake reported about 20 miles to the southeast.
