Salinas POA questions council member’s fitness for public office

The Salinas Police Officers Association released a campaign mailer Monday that questions Salinas Council Member Jose Castañeda’s fitness for public office, according to a press release by the Salinas POA.

According to the release, the mailer is intended to educate Salinas voters on the concerns regarding Castañeda’s continued tenure on the City Council.

“In short, the Salinas Police Officers Association believes that our city council members should be working with the police, not creating more work for the police,” the release read.
