Eastwood family donates chunk of land to protect open space near Carmel River

Following continued efforts to protect open space, Clint Eastwood and Margaret Eastwood said a chunk of land near the lower Carmel River is being donated to the Big Sur Land Trust.

The announcement Tuesday comes as a restoration project long the river is working to restore the floodplain, enhance riparian habitats and develop new trails to state and regional open spaces.
