Two families displaced after fast moving fire

Two families are without a home Wednesday morning after an overnight fire in Watsonville. The incident occurred around 10:30 PM Tuesday night in the 300 block of Manfre Road.

According to Cal Fire, firefighters were working to contain the fire as neighboring homes were evacuated. An investigator has been out to the scene, however no word on a cause at this time. One man was injured and flown to a Bay Area hospital after trying to take someone out of the house.

Another fire broke out about 2 miles away in Watsonville on Atkinson Lane. Crews were able to knock that fire down before it caused damage.
