New app intended to save wild animals on Central Coast
A Moss Landing women launched a new app to help animals in distress.
“We were able to design this app. It took three years to make. It does a lot that no other app does,” said Wildlife Emergency Services President Rebecca Dmytryk.
That app is called Wildhelp.
“Select what kind of animal it is. So in this case I’m going to select abird,” said Dmytryk.
After choosing options to best describe the injured animal, you will then take a picture and choose a responder.
“It gives me the closest three choices,” said Dmytryk.
The Wildhelp app is available on the iTunes store, with the android version in production.
“Especially this time of year we have lots of animal calls coming in,” said Dmytryk.
