No active shooter during Ft. Hunter Liggett lockdown, police say
UPDATE 6/10/16 7:20 PM: Army officials at Ft. Hunter Liggett confirmed Friday night there was never an active shooter.
Officials said there was a huge training going on and some miscommunication went viral. Following a lockdown, police searched every area and lifted the lockdown.
UPDATE 6/10/16 6:02 PM: Army officials at Ft. Hunter Liggett confirm no injuries have been reported and there is no evidence of an active shooter Friday night.
However law enforcement are investigating a report of a shooter and the base is still on lockdown.

According a public information officer, there’s no confirmed evidence of a shooter yet and the report is under investigation.
We’re hearing from people with family members who work on base, that they’ve been asked to evacuate. They also said family members have been given orders to stay put or lock themselves inside a building.
