Seaside man arrested, Tommy gun seized
A Seaside man is in custody after detectives arrested him Wednesday for possessing numerous firearms, including a Thompson sub-machine gun, commonly referred to as “Tommy gun.”
According to investigators, Ronnie Glaze, 25, was first arrested on June 3 by Marina Police for being a “prohibited person” in possession of a firearm, believed to be an altered .22 caliber rifle.
During a probation search of a home in the 1500 block of Del Monte, detectives with the Peninsula Regional Violence and Narcotics Team found more weapons, including the Tommy gun, a high capacity magazine, and an altered .357 caliber revolver.
Glaze, who was released on bail in connection with the first charge, was arrested Wednesday on additional charges. He was transported to the Monterey County Jail and charged with being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm, possession of an assault rifle, being a prohibited person in possession of ammunition, possession of a controlled substance, and three outstanding warrants. His bail was set at $200,000.
