Fire crews battle flames on Dolan Rd. near Castroville

Fire crews are mopping up after fighting a two-acre fire along Dolan Road near Castroville Blvd Wednesday afternoon.

According to an official with North Monterey County Fire, the fire started when equipment used to install fiber optic cable came in contact with a power line.

PG & E is also on scene, handling the power line.

Dolan Road is now open for traffic in the area. Crews fromSalinas andWastonville also responded to the scene.
