Seacliff Village Park damaged
The County of Santa Cruz says several pieces of public art were damaged at Seacliff Village Park.
The 1.25-acre park is fairly new; it was dedicated in December.
“We worked together for many years to create this park, even when no one thought it could be done. Now that it’s finally here, let’s respect the space and the art by maintaining Seacliff Village Park as it was originally intended – as a place of beauty, joy, and a justifiable source of community pride,” Supervisor Zach Friend said.
Several public art mosaics were damaged. Kathleen Crocetti designed the public art installation, which reflects the diversity of Santa Cruz County’s plants and wildlife. Numerous volunteers worked together to make it happen.
Officials aren’t sure who caused the damage. They’re asking people to keep an eye out.
