Cal Am looks for public input on planned water rate increase

California American Water customers are getting a chance to have their voice heard as proposed water rate increases move ahead.

The company has a pending application with the California Public Utilities Commission, which would raise residential rates, according to Cal Am.

Cal Am plans to raise rates to pay off about $40 million in underpayments.
