‘Get well soon wishes’ for professional surfer hurt at Mavericks

Huge waves at Mavericks are drawing surfers from all over to the well-known surf spot.

On Thursday, the waves were as tall as six-story buildings. Professional surfer Garrett McNamara injured his shoulder. On McNamara’s Facebook Friday, plenty of wishes for a speedy recovery.

As for the Titans of Mavericks competition, the conditions were too chaotic, according to KPIX. The window for the competition is open until March 31.
