Monterey’s Peninsula Produce robbed

Someone grabbed money from the cash register at Peninsula Produce in Monterey Tuesday evening, according to Monterey Police.

Police said the male suspect was with another male suspect. When the clerk tried to stop the robbery, one of the suspects grabbed his waistband as if to indicate he had a weapon, according to police.

Both of the suspects drove off in a gray car with an out-of-state license plate. Anyone with information is asked to call police at831-646-3814.
