New details on Huntsman and Curiel case

As of right now all documents related to the search warrant in the Tami Huntsman and Gonzalo Curiel case will not be open to the public because the judge says it could jeopardize the investigation, lives and well-being of witnesses.

Murder charges have been filed against 39-year old Huntsman and 17-year-old Curiel for the deaths of 3-year-old delylah Tara and 6-year-old Shaun Tara who police say died as a result of ongoing physical abuse that started in Salinas,CA.

The children were found about two weeks ago in a storage locker in Redding.

The order made by a Monterey County Superior court judge implies more search warrants are expected in the case.

The judge says making the details of the case public could result in the suspects or their associates to flee, destroy evidence or intimidate witnesses.

The order says the documents will be sealed for no longer than 90 days unless an extension is approved by the court.

Even though the records are sealed law enforcement are still able to use them in their investigation.
