UPDATE: Salinas police identify second victim in double homicide at Natividad Creek Park

UPDATE 12/23/2015 11:55 AM: Salinas police have identified the second victim in a double homicide case last Saturday night.

Investigators said Hugo Bello, 25, was killed and lived on and off in Salinas over the last six years.

ORIGINAL STORY: Salinas police confirm two people were shot and killed at Natividad Creek Park.

It happened around 5:00 p.m., on Saturday.

Police say 17-year-old Juan Carlos Cruz and a yet to be identified second victim were sitting in car when a lone gunman opened fire.

When officers arrived on scene they found Cruz dead from multiple gun shot wounds. The unidentified victim was hit once in the chest and later died at the hospital.

The suspect was described as only wearing dark clothing. Officers said he left in a dark SUV waiting nearby.
