Salinas police investigating Wells Fargo bank robbery

Salinas police are investigating a bank robbery at a Wells Fargo on the intersection of Boronda and Natividad Road.

The robbery was reported just before 5:30 p.m.

According to police, three men took over the bank and ordered customers to the floor.

The suspects were wearing hooded sweatshirts, bright yellow safety vests, tinted glasses and painters masks. They also had two handguns and a knife.

The men got away with an undetermined amount of cash.

They took off in a black import with paper plates.

No one was hurt during the robbery.

The case has been handed over to the FBI.
