UPDATE: Santa Cruz bridge closed for nearly an hour due to suicidal subject
UPDATE 9:55 PM: Murray Bridge was closed for nearly an hour as authorities worked to get a suicidal subject from jumping off.
Santa Cruz police, the California Highway Patrol and Harbor Patrol assisted with the incident.
A trained Crisis Negotiator from the Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s office was able to successfully get the individual down, police said.
