Police investigate 32nd homicide in Salinas Friday night
UPDATE 10/17/15 11:09 AM: Salinas police have identified the victim shot and killed Friday night as Jesus Mendoza Ramirez, 33.
Investigators said Ramirez was washing his car in his driveway when two suspects dressed in black confronted him.
The two suspects were last seen running northbound on Towt Street.

UPDATE 10/16/15 10:30 PM: A man is dead after being shot multiple timesin Salinas Friday night, police said.
This homicide is the 32nd one in the city this year.
It happened just before 8 p.m. on the 1200 block of First Avenue.
Policesaid the victim is a Hispanic man, around 33-years-old.He died at the scene. Witnesses told police they saw two suspects wearing dark clothing run off.
“At this point it does appear the suspects have fled the area. We have very limited information. We do ask that anyone that does have information, contact us as soon as possible,” said Commander Dave Crabill.
Police do believe this shooting is gang related.
