Police investigate robbery in South Salinas, witnesses chase suspect down
UPDATE 9/30/15 4:52 p.m.: Police are investigating a robbery in South Salinas, after the suspect was stopped by several people who chased him down.
Police said a 28-year-old man wearing a mask, robbed a pharmacy just before 2:30 p.m. Wednesday near South Main and Nissen Road.
They said he initially got away with prescription medication. But as he was running off, police said he fired a shot at several people and an off-duty officer. No one was hurt and the suspect was arrested.
Investigators said this suspect may be connected to similar cases in Salinas.
