UPDATE: Deputies identify man killed in deadly stabbing at Morgan Hill quinceanera
UPDATE 9/30/15 11:39 p.m.: Investigators with Santa Clara County said they’ve identified the man accused of stabbing another man to death at a quinceanera over the weekend in Morgan Hill.
Deputies said Jacobo Rojos-Vilchis, 34, of Milpitas, was found with multiple stab wounds and died at the scene. They said Gonzalo Julio Morales, 35, from San Jose was arrested on September 28 at a home in Mountain View where bloody jeans were found in a garbage can.
Investigators said the knife used to stab Rojos-Vilchis was found on the side of Highway 101 and Bailey Ave.
Morales was booked in the Santa Clara County Jail.
PREVIOUS STORY: The Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office said its investigating a homicide on Saturday night during a quinceanera off Hale Ave. in Morgan Hill.
Deputies said they responded to a fight at the party and found a man in his early 30s stabbed multiple times. He died on scene.
The Sheriff’s Office said it was able to arrest a suspect, a man in his mid 30s. They are not identifying the suspect yet.
Investigators said they don’t know the relationship between the two men.
