Customers detain robbery suspect in Watsonville

Two teens are in police custody after two armed robbery in Watsonville, police said.

Police said it happened Sunday night, when the two teen suspects robbed a victim at gunpoint and forced the victim to drive to a nearby gas station with a knife to his throat.

Later in the evening, police said one of the suspects attempted to rob an Arco on Green Valley Road. Police said customers and employees detained that suspect by wrestling him to the ground until Watsonville police arrived on scene.

Meanwhile, police and deputies were able to also locate the other suspect and victim at a traffic stop. Both suspects were booked into juvenile hall.
