Woman accused of driving into three people in Salinas’ Chinatown Tuesday
An alleged DUI driver lost control of her car and crashed into three people in Salinas’ Chinatown Tuesday morning, according to police.
Officers said Floribella Pahua, 34, drove the wrong way on Market St. from Bridge St. and hit several encampments in the area.
Police said the three people hit had minor injuries and two refused medical treatment.
Pahua allegedly showed signs of being under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, according to police. She was arrested for DUI and felony hit and run with injury.
Police said Pahua has five previous DUI convictions, lied to police about her name and was driving on a suspended license.
She was booked in the Monterey County Jail.
