Police chase suspects in Marina neighborhood on Friday

UPDATE 7/24/15 4:25 p.m.: Two men, including one wanted for felony warrants, led police on a chase Friday afternoon in Marina, police said.

Officers said driver John Rodriguez, 46, and passenger Ravin Kumar, 29, were seen together in a car near Pacific Court. Rodriguez led officers on a short pursuit before jumping out of the car while it was still moving, police said.

Rodriguez continued jumping fences in the area, but officers said they were eventually able to catch up with him.

Police said Kumar was arrested for two felony warrants from a previous Marina Police case, which he failed to appear in court for. Rodriguez was also arrested.

PREVIOUS STORY: Some residents in Marina said they witnessed the end of a police chase Friday afternoon.

Witnesses reported seeing a suspect pull into a driveway and try to run away on foot when the chase ended on Abdy Way.

Neighbors who caught the incident on surveillance cameras said a car is seen pulling up and later cops pursue the suspect.
