23-month-old drowning at KOA Campground ruled accidental
UPDATE 7/17/15 p.m.: The Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office confirmed Friday that the drowning of 23-month-old Wyatt Hutchings was ruled accidental by investigators.
PREVIOUS STORY: Family members of an 23-month-old boy from Scotts Valley who drowned in hot tub earlier this week are asking for help from the community.
A GoFundMe account was set up by a friend and was tweeted by My Scotts Valley on Wednesday.
NewsChannel 5 confirmed family members were comfortable with releasing the information about their son to the public.
The baby’s name is Wyatt Hutchings and he died Monday afternoon in the hot tub at the KOA Campground in Watsonville.

Investigators with the Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office said they are investigating the case and are waiting for an autopsy report.
