UPDATE: Firefighters save Prunedale home after vegetation fire sparks nearby
UPDATE: 4:40 p.m.: Cal Fire officials were able to save a Prunedale house after a half-acre vegetation fire sparked nearby Saturday afternoon.
The blaze broke out on Frisch Road just after 2:30 p.m.
Fire officials said with the help of the homeowners, they were able to quickly put out the fire.
A shed and a few cars were damaged, Cal Fire officials said.
The cause is under investigation.
Firefighters said this is a good reminder to have a defensible space around your home.
