Deputies investigate reports of shots fired
UPDATE 7/10/15 5:30 p.m.: The Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Department has told NewsChannel 5 that deputies are clearing the scene after nothing was found.
After an extensive search, investigators found no victim of a shooting.
UPDATE 7/10/15 4:23 p.m.: Deputies are investigating a report of shots fired in a Live Oak neighborhood Friday afternoon.
The Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office said a neighbor in the area of the 900 block of Bostwick called 911 believing they heard a domestic argument. The caller reported shots were fired.
Deputies are searching the area and have not been able to locate a victim. Residents in the neighborhood have been asked to shelter-in-place. A perimeter has been set up in the area.
