Watsonville Police investigate deadly crash early Saturday morning

Watsonville Police are investigating a deadly crash involving a pedestrian early Saturday morning.

Officers said the accident happened at Main St. and the Crossroads. A 54-year-old person from Watsonville was walking eastbound across Main St. when officers said a 25-year-old driver from San Jose didn’t see the person until the last moment.

Officers said visibility was reduced at the time of the crash because of mist or fog and street lights were still on.

Investigators don’t believe drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 831-768-3000.
