UPDATE: Officers investigate crash on Highway 129 in Aromas
UPDATE 6/29/15 1 p.m.: All lanes are open after a three-car accident closed Highway 129 along Rogge Lane and Murphy Road Sunday night, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP said a 37-year-old woman fell asleep at the wheel and veered off the road. Her car crashed into a power pole, causing power lines fall out into the road. Her car rolled over but ended up on it’s wheels. She was taken to Natividad Hospital for a minor ankle injury.
A second car towing a trailer couldn’t avoid the power lines and “jack-knifed” and came to a stop, blocking eastbound lanes. The driver was not injured.
A third car also towing a trailer collided with a drainage ditch after trying to avoid the fallen power lines. There was minor damage to the trailer but nobody was injured.
