King City moves forward with synthetic drug ordinance

The King City City Council approved the first reading of the synthetic drug ordinance during Tuesday’s meeting.

The city attorney said the ordinance will allow the city to pass a municipal code to prohibit the distribution and sale of “man-made” chemical substances.

These are popular with the younger generation and can be deadly if overused.

The second reading and potential adoption of the ordinance is set for the city’s next meeting.
