Stabbing in Watsonville Sunday night, possibly gang-related

Police are investigating a stabbing Sunday night around 11:21 p.m. in the 100 Block of Miller Ave. in Watsonville.

The 24-year-old victim was stabbed four times, once in the face and the other three times in the chest area.

Deputies said a large pool of blood was found at the end of Miller Ave. and that the victim had already been taken to Watsonville Hospital by a friend. The victim was then flown to Natividad Medical Trauma Center.

The victim is in serious but stable condition and is expected to survive the injuries.

Officers said people involved in the investigation have been uncooperative and they believe the stabbing was gang related.
