UPDATE: Santa Cruz Police seeking public’s help in hit-and-run investigation
UPDATE 6/19/2015: Santa Cruz Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the car responsible for hitting and killing a woman June 10 at Highway 1 and River St.
Investigators said a silver colored car, similar to a Toyota Prius, was seen in video from a security camera at the time of the crash. Police believe its likely the windshield and a wiper would have been broken as well as front-end damage.

UPDATE 6/21/2015: The Santa Cruz County Coroner’s Office has identified the victim in Wednesday morning’s deadly hit-and-run crash as Dene Shaw, 59, of Santa Cruz.
Investigators said the cause of death was multiple blunt force injuries as a result of being hit by a vehicle.
UPDATE 6/10/2015 1:53 p.m.: A 59-year-old woman was killed during a hit-and-run crash near the intersection of Highway 1 and River St. early Wednesday morning, according to Santa Cruz Police.
Officers do not have any suspect information at this time and are looking for help from witnesses.
PREVIOUS STORY: Santa Cruz Police said officers are investigating a deadly hit and run early Wednesday morning.
Police said the crash happened near Highway One at River Street after midnight Wednesday. Officers said the victim was a woman and they have little information of the suspects vehicle.
The road was closed for several hours to process the incident, but has since reopened.
